A major element of present port operations, PSQ is an important cruise destination and regional hub. Current industry trends show a strong annual growth rate of 6% since 2018.
Situated in close proximity to Oman Flour Mills Company, PSQ handles approximately 500,000 DWT of raw grain annually.
300,000 DWT of cargo is handled by PSQ annually.
Strategically located in close proximity to Muscat, foreign navy vessels regularly use PSQ as a preferred port of call.
PSQ facilitates the handling of cargo carried by Dhows which include live animal, general cargo, fruits and vegetables and more.
Ships passing through the Sea of Oman regularly stop at the PSQ’s anchorage for a variety of services such as crew changes, bunkering, provisioning and more.

The first cruise terminal in Oman was opened at PSQ in 2008.
The terminal provides facilities for the embarking and disembarking of tourists visiting the sights in Muscat, in addition to immigration and customs functions.
